A one day introductory class, where you learn the very basics of throwing on the potters wheel. This will include weighing and preparing balls of clay before you start, then the basics of the wheel - from centering your clay, pulling, shaping and working with your tools, beginning to learn the techniques of throwing bowls and cylinders.

This is a fun and quick way to introduce yourself to throwing on the wheel and is suitable for complete beginners.

It will be messy and fun and is a great way to find out if you would like to do more.

Expect to keep anywhere between 1-5 pieces, depending on what happens when you are throwing! Each piece will be bisque fired for you and then fired again in a glaze firing with a tin white glaze.

Your pieces will be ready for pickup usually within three weeks of your class, but sometimes longer. Pick up will be arranged via email by Giulietta who runs the studio.

There will be a maximum of eight people attending this class.

Each person has their own dedicated potters wheel.

All classes will take place in the pottery at: 11 Crown Works, Temple Street, London, E26QQ

Aprons will be provided, but please don't wear your best clothes as you are likely to get muddy!

Price includes all materials, glazes and firings.

We regret that if you have not picked up your pots within two months of the original pick up email being sent out, then we will have had to dispose of the pots as we are so limited on shelf space.

Any questions please email Giulietta
