Beginners Throwing Weekend - Choice of dates

2nd and 3rd Feb - Beginners Throwing Weekend - Taught by Simon Kidd

23rd and 24th Feb - Beginners Throwing Weekend - Taught by Tegan Hendel

Suitable for complete beginners, we will be going through the basic techniques of throwing on the wheel. We will start with learning how to centre your clay, moving straight on to throwing cylinders and bowls, then learning how to turn your work on the Sunday to give your bowls feet and to tidy your pieces up.

You will be able to keep a maximum of 8 pieces from the class.

You will decorate your work with slips on Sunday afternoon and later we will put a transparent over glaze over your finished pieces, after they have been through their initial firing. You will be able to come and pick up your final pieces once they are out of the kiln and have cooled down, usually three weeks after your class, but sometimes longer. Pickup of your final pieces will be organised via email by Giulietta, who runs the studio

Any questions please email or ring Giulietta
