Two Hour Evening Class for absolute beginners - Throwing on the wheel - Friday Evenings from 18:30-20:30

In this fun introductory class you will get familiar with the potters wheel and learn what it is like to have a go at throwing. You will be able to start learning the basics from weighing up your clay balls, to centering, pulling up the walls of your pots to using your tools. You will then have a go at a bowl form, having watched the teacher demonstrate the process to you.

Each attendee has their own dedicated potters wheel and there is a maximum of eight who will be able to attend each class.

In a two hour taster class your pots tend to be super wobbly and often collapse, it’s all part of the fun and the normal learning curve of a potter! You are able to keep a maximum of three pieces per attendee, these will be fired and glazed for you. Pots will be ready usually within three weeks, but sometimes longer depending on firing schedules, you will be notified by email when your pots are ready.
