These evening sessions run from 18:30-20:30 once a week for five weeks at Crown Works Pottery and are untaught. This is purely an opportunity for those who are more experienced throwers and hand-builders to practice their techniques on their own. There will be someone to let you in and close up the pottery who is familiar with the space and where everything is, but they will be unable to teach you. There will be a maximum of ten people attending these sessions. Eight on the wheels and two hand-building places.

You will be able to keep 10 pieces from the class, unless they are very small in which case you can keep more. You will be able to come and pick up your final pieces once they are out of the kiln and have cooled down, usually three weeks after your class, but sometimes this can take longer. This will be arranged over email by Giulietta when your work is ready.

For those that are throwing, the sessions will be divided into three weeks of throwing, one of turning and then glazing in the final week. It is recommended to try to stick to this structure in order that the space is used to its optimum and that the firings can be scheduled accordingly for you.

For those that are Hand-Builders, timings are more flexible, but your work needs to be finished by the end of Wk 4 so that they can be dried out and bisqued, ready for glazing in the fifth weeks session. You will need to wrap your unfinished work in provided bin bags to prevent them from drying out at the end of each session.

Each throwing attendee has their own dedicated potters wheel.

All classes will take place in the pottery at: 11 Crown Works, Temple Street, London, E26QQ

Aprons will be provided, but please don't wear your best clothes as you are likely to get muddy!

Please make sure you can attend all dates, as it is not possible to swap your days with other class attendees on other evenings, or makeup sessions another time.

Price includes all materials, glazes and firings.

We regret that if you have not picked up your pots within two months of the original pick up email being sent out, then we will have had to dispose of the pots as we are so limited on shelf space.

Any questions please email Giulietta
