Beta Yee

Beta grew up in Australia as a first generation immigrant. Growing up feeling a little on the outside, she translates this into her forms of objects that are familiar and traditional shapes, but somehow ‘slightly different’.

All her works are based around constant questioning and experimentation - feeling comfortable with ambiguity and the unknown. A lifelong interest that was formalised by her degree in Biology and her current work as a Digital Product Designer.

Still fascinated by organic and inorganic chemistry, she hopes to explore different clays and their relationship with glazes.

Beta is a full time member at Crown Works and currently teaches Taster Classes.
