Taster Class - 2 Hours Privately Taught Class - Full Space Hire

In this fun introductory class you will get familiar with the potters wheel and learn what it is like to have a go at throwing. Each attendee has their own dedicated potters wheel and there is a maximum of 8 people who attend each class. You will begin by weighing up your clay balls, then watch a demonstration by your teacher to display the techniques needed to ‘center’ your clay and how to ‘pull’ up the walls of your pots. Sitting down at your own dedicated potters wheel, you will then have a go at throwing a cylinder, mirroring the techniques your teacher will have shown you. Each attendee is able to keep one pot, which the studio then fires and glazes for you. When the work is ready you will receive an email with pick up details. There is also the option of having all the work shipped to you at an additional cost of £14 if this is preferable.

A Maximum of 8 Students Attending- Taught for a Two Hour Class - £640

If 8 attend this is £80 per head

You are able to bring your own wine or beer to the event.

ONE DAY THROWING WORKSHOP - Suggested Hours 11:00-17:00 - Full Space Hire

A one day introductory class or intermediate class. For those who are absolute beginners - you will learn the very basics of throwing on the potters wheel. Beginning the session with throwing cylinders and following up with bowls during the afternoon. If however you have already taken classes, we will work with you after the initial class demonstration, on the specific techniques you need to improve for the forms you are tackling.

Each attendee has their own dedicated potters wheel.

Expect to keep anywhere between 1-3 pieces, depending on what happens when you are throwing! If you would like to keep more than 3 pieces, we charge an extra £10 a pot, which will fire and glaze for you!

A Maximum of 8 Students Attending- £1360

If 8 attend this is £170 per head which is our normal One Day Class Cost Per Head.
