Grace McCarthy
Grace has been making ceramics for the past 8 years and was part of the first cohort to attend Clay College Stoke, a course developed from a successful apprenticeship scheme that aims to train the next generation of studio potters. Whilst studying there, she learnt a great number of skills and firing techniques that have changed and developed her work greatly.
A lot of what influences her work is the raw clay and the firing process; the relationship between both of these elements is what excites her about ceramics.
Grace also previously studied Three Dimensional Design at Camberwell College of Art.
